Exway X1 Max Hub Electric Skateboard

Exway X1 has been around for a while but now they are releasing their upgraded edition X1 Max. It's an upgrade of the previous X1 Pro that has been a success!

They chose to invest heavily in the capacity of the batteries and this has now made you go even further. With a maximum range of 30 km, you can go wherever you want. If you also buy the quick charger, you can have a fully charged board in just under two hours. However, it is not just the scope that has changed. With improved engine controls and extremely competent hub motors, you can get incredible torque and sick top speed. The battery cells are neatly inserted in the board's very thin deck (yes it is not thicker than 1,4cm). The engines are powerful and give you a top speed of 45km / h!

The braking system is of the regenerative braking type, which means that you can charge the battery when you are not accelerating, which is good for those who go downhill from time to time. This way you can get some charge back while you ride.

Awesome app for full control and overview

With the new app, you get a really nice interface where you can communicate via Bluetooth with your board to adjust and optimize it yourself. You can set how the board should accelerate and brake for each "gear". You also get a full overview of the distance you drove, current range, battery capacity and much more! Impressive look and many opportunities!

Turbo Power

Exway X1 Max has been taken to the next level in terms of acceleration. It is today one of the absolute strongest torques you can find on a hub motor on the market. Through the turbo mode you can take your board to new levels and you will need to feel it carefully the first few times as it will be important to "hold on". The turbo mode can take you to the board's maximum speeds of around 45 km / h.

The board is equipped with sensors in motors and together with other electronics to continuously detect and provide feedback to the control unit. It can thus act more intelligently and adjust the properties according to your current ride.

Through this smart adaptation, you get a better optimization of your board, regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced e-skater.

Extremely powerful hub motors

Hub engines are nothing new but the capacity and torque you get in the Exway X1 Max is remarkable. Previous model had 600W motors but now each motor has been expanded to 655W. These two powerful motors allow you to climb slopes up to 30%. In addition, the engines have been designed to be "push friendly", which means that you can choose to push your board like a classic longboard without it being strange.

Better protection against water

The board has an IP55 rating, which means that it must withstand splashes and splashes from water if it occurs during the trip. Thanks to the fact that the batteries are protected inside the deck itself, this is better protected than with boards that have it on the outside. As usual, it is not recommended to go wakeboarding with your electric board, but it is always nice to have it as protected as possible from water when the rain surprises. It is also something that Exway itself points out if you want to avoid unnecessary wear and tear on parts that easily take a beating and can rust over time.

Security & Charging

Exway's battery management is extremely developed and designed to insure against overvoltage and to keep capacity better. It complies with international safety standard ANSI-UL2271. Some of the protections you have built in include:

• Overcharging and voltage protection as well as temperature-protected cells.
• At low battery, the power is adjusted automatically so as not to risk empty fuel cells.
• When the voltage is too high or low from the batteries, you will be notified via feedback in your control and OLED display to maintain a safe ride.

R1 Intelligent Remote Control

The control is as before Exway's R1 model. Which means that it is compatible with all boards in the Exway series. Good grip and ergonomics allow you to "keep control" better. You have a rubberized surface on the control that gives you a good grip even if it is damp or wet. Acceleration and braking are done with a throttle control that is designed as a wheel. This allows you to easily adjust speed while driving while making it easier to brake in a controlled manner. Through an OLED display you can easily see the status of the board or control. You also get feedback through vibrations if you need to be observant of something. Via the control, you can select 4 different riding modes. Where position 1 is a throttled position and where the highest position is maximum rotation and top speed.

The Sad Trucks

Unlike the previous X1, it has now been replaced truckto Trist, which is Exway's own brand. You get a double barrel in each truck which has a nice rebound and good stability at higher speeds without affecting the feeling at lower speeds. As we see it, the switch to Sad istrucka big lift. Although we liked the previous SeismictruckIt was difficult to replace the bushings with their own alternatives as this was specially shaped. By switching to a standard system, you can now experiment with exactly which bushings you want to get the properties you want.

Concave Deck

The design of the plank is one of the most important properties when it comes to maintaining control over the board in turns and at higher speeds. You now get the board with a nice concave to lock your feet in a more secure way. It also gives you better control over the board when you have to maneuver it.

85MM Pro Wheel

The wheels have been upgraded to 85mm for a better roll and the new formula has been improved to provide good grip and last longer over time.

Riot…

Once you have purchased your X1 Pro, you can later choose to purchase the Riot package. It is simply a flexible kit for upgrading and replacing your hub motors with two belt-driven motors, just as, for example, Boosted or Evolve offer. A really exciting package for those who want even stronger torque on the engines!
