Evolve Skateboards GTR 2 Carbon All Terrain

Evolve are known for their quality and it feels extra safe to be able to offer them with us Boardlife. GTR 2 Carbon is an updated version made of high quality carbon fiber. They are available, just like the bamboo boards, in a street version and an All Terrain that you can see here. An off-road monster built to get you anywhere on all possible imaginable surfaces and conditions. It is therefore the same board but different wheels are added.

GTR Carbon can thus be driven with the larger off-road wheels or you can simply switch to the smaller street wheels. Depending on whether you choose to drive the street wheels or all terrain, the range and top speed are a little different. The larger wheels make you passable in all possible places and the range is 30 km despite the large wheels! With a top speed of 38 km / h. If you change to smaller wheels, you can reach up to 50 km and a top speed of 44 km / h.

All Terrain will take you everywhere no matter what the conditions look like. Through its air-filled wheels, the maneuverability and grip are also extremely good. For those of you who may live in places where you have gravel roads or the like, this is as easily solved as possible. You can even run it over grass and paths if you want. This monster does not let anything stop the path you want to take!

So regardless of whether you choose All Terrain or Street, it is the same board. You can easily purchase a conversion kit to convert the GTR Carbon 2 into the desired version.

Bamboo vs. Carbon

What then is the difference between the bamboo board and the carbon fiber board? Apart from the fact that Carbon looks quite raw, it is slightly lighter in construction than the bamboo board. In addition, it can withstand up to 120kg, while the recommended maximum weight of the bamboo version is 100kg.

So what's new in version 2?

Although nothing has been changed about the already long range and top speed, the model has been updated both inside and out. The components on the inside have been improved in quality and durability. By having long experience with the GTR model, they have been able to focus on honing improvements to the GTR2.

• The engines have been replaced with the same ones that Hadean uses, which gives significantly more power and torque. These engines handle much tougher resistance and don't get hot like previous engines could.
• Stronger and slightly faster than GTR(1) but same range.
• Quieter engines.
• Improved durability.
• Improved cooling capabilities.
• With Bluetooth FOC, it has been possible to improve the response and communication between the control and the board, which results in the board getting a significantly more direct response.
• The control itself is now also the new Phaze model as standard. So you get a controller that lasts much better and also shows a brand new gorgeous display.
• New ESC/Motor Controller similar to the one Hadean has which provides more customization options than before.
• Extra quiet ESC that is almost silent.

In connection with the release of the GTR2, the older model is also being phased out. However, we always have the opportunity to track down older spare parts for previous models of Evolve.

The Remote

The all-new Phaze remote provides intuitive acceleration and braking through its dual trigger design and shrouds it in a robust aluminum frame. A CNC aluminum frame creates the backbone of the controller, strengthening it with the construction that aims to create a remote that meets the needs of the most hardcore riders. Its advanced user interface allows riders to track previous rides, view board diagnostics information, and control settings such as light colours/modes and speed limits. The Phaze is the most sophisticated remote in the electric skateboarding industry.

The GTR 2 Carbon All Terrain offers more riding modes than ever before, with ECO, SPORT, and GTR built in as standard. Using the Explore By Evolve app, riders can adjust the total power, acceleration and braking curves to suit their riding style perfectly. You can also track and share your rides and compete against the worldwide community of riders on the leader board and, of course, use the app for over-the-air updates for IOS and Android phones. Oh, and did we mention you can use the app to view diagnostic information and apply custom lighting mode to your Prism Strips?
