Heartwood presents a simpler board in 8.0" at a good price. The Basic series is still made of 7 layers of maple but the construction is simpler which makes the board a little softer. This board is suitable for those who are beginners or do not have as much weight under their feet. Or simply those who prefer to ride a little softer because it is a little softer in the flex.
