Micro drop

A board that is lowered in the middle of the plank, i.e. where the standing surface is closer to the ground than where the trucks attach, is called a dropped board. Not to be confused with rocker which also fits the same description. When you have a smaller dropped board it is usually called a micro drop. This construction has both a function to bring you closer to the ground, provide more stability but also a good grip by the feet are usually placed near this slope.
