Carver Firefly 2022 30.25″ Surfskate

Carvers Firefly is a playful and versatile surfskate, marginally shorter than the longer Resin. These boards have been one of Carvers' most popular shapes over the years. Quick and fast with the possibility of really tight cut backs. They have focused on a wide stance for the back foot but still maintain the nice tail. The board comes in two versions depending on what type of board characteristics you are looking for. You can choose from Carvers CX or C7 trucks. The CX version is made for a quicker type of riding with faster pressure on the tail while the C7 version is made for an even easier turn with long soft turns.

Carver is today the leader in surfskate and is considered the original of this entire discipline. With its roots in surfing, this type of riding has been developed over a long period of time to come as close to surfing as you can imagine. Growing up, Ryan Martz was surrounded by a steady stream of the most skilled glassers on the coast, so it's no wonder that he is now one of the most sought after resin artists in the world. Ryan's dad Greg Martz started the Waterman's Guild in 1983 to create the best glass shop in Southern California, where Ryan learned his trade. “Growing up under my dad, he was a perfectionist, so he drove that quality is always the bottom line here, and that's been present since day one.” Paying his dues and working up the ranks, Ryan has developed his own signature style of resin work, each a one-of-a-kind painting made in flowing pigments that recall the movement of water or fire, frozen in time. Returning for his third resin series for Carver, Ryan made these custom designs the old school way, with pigmented resin on fiberglass for a true surf/skate graphic.

A slightly shorter version of our classic Resin, this nimble model is a little snappier and easier to pump for smaller riders looking for their go-to surfskate.
