Exway Flex is the more flexible version of the longboard. For those of you who have previously been a fan of Boosted, here you have a board that offers outstanding specs at an affordable price. However, the quality is at least as good and just like before you can choose whether you want to run a hub or belt drive. What you see in front of you here, however, is the slightly stronger Riot version with belt drive. After testing them, we couldn't help but conclude that it may have been the most versatile electric board we have ridden. Extremely sharp in all respects. For those of you who want to know more, you can sit back and slowly scroll down here and you will hear about what makes this board incredibly exciting!
Out of stock
So with the new Flex Riot you have a few other options:
- Longer range
- Flex in the board
- Smart battery that monitors cells more closely and automatic sensors for long-term battery storage.
- New trucks to make it easier to combine with bushings from other manufacturers
- Easier replaceable components overall
- Replaceable battery pack
- The speed is slightly lower, but you make up for it with increased range.
- Wider straps from 10mm to 15mm
More performance – Softer feel
As described above and will be made clearer below, the new Flex is updated in many ways. We still love the previous version because the integrated battery and rigid board provide incredibly good control at extremely high speeds. But for those of you who want more comfort at lower speeds and perhaps a little more range, the Flex is your best friend going forward.
Awesome app for full control and overview
With the new app you get a really nice interface where you can communicate with your board via Bluetooth to adjust and optimize it yourself. You can set how the board should accelerate and brake for each “gear”. You also get a full overview of the distance you have ridden, current range, battery capacity and much more! Impressive look and many possibilities!

Reliable & Maintenance-Free
As before, Exway is a reliable system where we have been very satisfied with both the performance and feel of the products so far. Should there be any problems, Exway has a great support that supports it in wet and dry. Exway can now offer one of the most maintenance-free water-resistant boards on the market. The modular design means that each part can be replaced individually if something should go wrong.

Turbo Power
Exway Flex (hub) is taken to the next level in terms of acceleration. It is currently one of the absolute strongest torques you can find on a hub motor on the market. Through a new turbo mode you can take your board to new levels and you will need to feel it carefully the first few times because it will be important to “hold on”. The turbo mode can take you to the board’s maximum speeds of around 40 km/h.
The board is equipped with sensors in the motors and other electronics to continuously sense and provide feedback to the controller, allowing it to act more intelligently and adjust its characteristics to your current ride.
Through this smart adaptation, you get better optimization of your board, regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced electric skater.
Super Flex Deck
For those of you who have been waiting for a follow-up to the Boosted Stealth, we'd say you've found it. But unlike Boosted, you can get two better Exway Flexes for the price of one Boosted.
On Flex, the previous molded deck with integrated battery (which in itself is a very elegant solution) has been replaced to make way for a more classic feel in the deck where bamboo and fiberglass are used to rebuild the board into a camber, where you now get pumping and flex instead. Nice cutouts mean that the wheels don't catch if you throw some big ones on the board. Since the board/plank/deck has a camber, you can choose where you put your feet to get different amounts of flex when you ride. A wider stance reduces the flex, while if you tighten it up at lower speeds, you get a much more flexible feel. With extra concave at a wider stance, you can get an even better effect when you turn and you have your feet in safe "pockets".

Replaceable drive system
You don't have to lie awake at night wondering whether to ride a Flex Hub or Flex Riot. As before, Exway offers a replaceable drive system. You can very easily swap your entire hub/riot for the other drive system, which can be purchased separately. However, you can only swap drive systems between Flex. Unfortunately, they are not compatible with the X1 Pro.
For those who choose the strap version - Flex Riot, the straps have also been widened from the previous 10mm to 15mm to withstand tougher grip.
Better protection against water
The upgraded motors are better protected against moisture and moisture that tends to get in. The ball bearings have been changed to a variant that will handle moisture better so you can rest assured. As usual, it is not recommended to wakeboard with your electric board, but it is always nice to have it as protected as possible against water when the rain comes. The X1 Pro should now be one of the best water-resistant options on the market. Exway has IP55 protection on both its X1 Pro and Flex, which feels reassuring. However, you should always be careful when riding in water as ball bearings can still take a beating. But the electronics should have good protection in any case 🙂
Safety & Charging
Exway's battery management is extremely advanced and designed to ensure against overvoltage and to maintain capacity better. It follows the international safety standard ANSI-UL2271. Some of the protections that have been built in include:
- Overcharge and voltage protection as well as temperature protected cells.
- When the battery is low, the power is automatically adjusted to avoid the risk of empty fuel cells.
- When the voltage is too high or low from the batteries, you will be notified via feedback in your controller and OLED display to maintain a safe ride.
In addition to improved battery safety, you also get a smooth charging connector that is magnetically connected. Similar to Apple's Magsafe. In other words, the connector is held in place by magnetic force. Which means that if you happen to trip on the cord, it can more easily release from the connector without damaging any components. Smooth, good and ingenious.
Smart and Swappable Battery
Through an improved sensor system, the ESC (motherboard) can better monitor the battery cells to avoid overcharging or shorting. The new SONY VCT6 high-capacity 18650 cells can withstand a higher discharge to ensure the battery maintains its level for longer.
An improved galvanometer ensures better reflection of the cells' energy.
A built-in mode automatically triggers a low-power mode when the board is stored for long periods of time to ensure the cells are not damaged. However, you should always follow the instructions in the instruction manual for best battery maintenance over time.
Another exciting news is that on the Flex you can change the battery more easily over time. For those of you who have previously owned a Boosted, the Exway variant is equivalent when it comes to changing the batteries. How nice if something goes wrong over time or if you have been careless with the maintenance of the board for some reason.
The battery is also protected from water according to IP55 standard.
“The Trist” Truck
Exway has chosen to put a completely new truck on the Flex version that they developed themselves. The advantage of this is that it is easier to combine with optional types of bushings to further customize the feel of the ride and the truck's properties. The truck is extra reinforced to prevent bending over time and to maintain its properties over time. As a default, it comes with a 90a bushing to provide a fairly comfortable all-round experience (if you need softer or harder, we have plenty of options for you under components and bushings).

R1 Intelligent Remote Control
The new controller is designed to provide better ergonomics and grip. You have a rubberized surface on the controller that gives you a good grip even if it is damp or wet. Acceleration and braking are done with a throttle that is designed like a wheel. This means that you can easily adjust speed while riding while making it easier to brake in a controlled manner. Through an OLED display, you can easily see the status of the board or controller. You also get feedback through vibrations if you need to be observant of something. Via the controller, you can select 4 different riding modes. Where mode 1 is a throttled mode and where the highest mode is maximum turning and top speed.
