Boardlife is nominated for initiative of the year in Jönköping

boardlife-nomination-jonkopinggalanYes, it certainly went without saying that the Taberg Downhill Challenge 2013 was a very successful (first) event. The turnout for the event was fantastic and even though the weather punished us a bit, the atmosphere was always at its best. Riders, audience and even us as organizers gave it our all regardless. So good that Boardlife is now nominated for the annual Jönköping Gala. The municipality praised us especially for our drive because they valued our initiative and see the potential in what it can mean for the region. This year's initiative is an award that Jönköping Municipality is responsible for during the gala on January 25, 2014. Boardlife is one of three nominees in the category. Tough competition, but for us, we have already won. Honestly, we knew even before the nomination that we had put on a pretty good event. But getting local support is of course extra fun! It makes it even more fun to arrange it again.

Once again we would like to take this opportunity to pat our team riders on the back for their hard work. Especially two extra gold stars to Speedoff and Emilf who have been extra driving, or even invaluable. Good job boys!

The event went really well, while actually opening the doors for a series of exciting future events in many other major cities. What it will be, you can only speculate for now. But planning is in full swing.

Now it's time to dress in a tie or cravat and learn how to eat sandwiches in style. We're going to a gala!
